(Senior) Director of Marketing and Market development

Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Marketing to lead our market-facing efforts in the United States. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced marketing professional who can turn complex deep-tech products into clear, compelling market messages and help build our commercial presence in the AI and optical interconnect ecosystem.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in B2B product marketing, strategic marketing, or market development in one or more of the following industries: silicon photonics, semiconductors, optical communications, networking, or AI infrastructure. This role will work closely with executive leadership, engineering, and business development to define market positioning, strengthen industry visibility, and support revenue growth..

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop      and execute the company’s U.S. marketing strategy to support growth,      visibility, and market penetration
  • Own      product positioning, messaging, and value proposition for Lumos Infinitas      solutions in AI/ML and data center applications
  • Translate      complex technical capabilities into clear and persuasive content for      customers, partners, investors, and industry stakeholders
  • Conduct      market research and competitive analysis across optical interconnect,      silicon photonics, AI networking, co-packaged optics, and related markets
  • Identify      key customer segments, application opportunities, and strategic partners      in the U.S.
  • Support      business development and sales activities through presentations,      collateral, white papers, technical summaries, and other customer-facing      materials
  • Lead      conference and event strategy, including trade shows, industry      conferences, webinars, and thought-leadership activities
  • Collaborate      with external partners on public relations, digital content, and broader      brand-building initiatives  
  • Help      strengthen the company’s presence across website, media, and industry      communications
  • Build      relationships with customers, ecosystem partners, analysts, and trade      media
  • Define      and track marketing metrics tied to strategic engagement, lead generation,      and pipeline support
  • Work      closely with engineering and leadership teams to ensure technical accuracy      and strong alignment between product development and market needs


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s      degree in Marketing, Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering,      Business, or a related field
  • 7+      years of experience in B2B marketing, product marketing, technical      marketing, strategic marketing, or market development
  • Experience      in one or more relevant industries such as silicon photonics,      semiconductors, optical communications, networking, telecom/datacom, or AI      infrastructure
  • Proven      ability to market highly technical products in a business-to-business      environment
  • Strong      written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Experience      developing product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market materials
  • Ability      to work effectively across engineering, executive, and commercial teams
  • Comfortable      working in a startup environment with broad responsibility and      fast-changing priorities
  • Willingness      to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and partner engagement

Silicon Photonics Design Engineer

Lumos Infinitas USA, inc is a fabless optical I/O company for the next-generation AI interconnect. The Irvine, Orange county, CA site is looking for a (senior) silicon photonic design engineer. 


Responsibilities


1. Interact with the silicon-photonic foundries, understand their process and PDK

2. Device layout scripting and Design Rule Check

3. Provide PIC test and characterization plan

4. Conduct passive component design or preferably active component design work, such as traveling- wave modulator and Ge detectors


Qualifications and skills


 a. Ph.D or Master in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or a related discipline with emphasis on integrated photonics

b. Familiar with photonic simulation software, such as Lumerical enterprise

c. Familiar with RF simulation tools such as HFSS (optional, plus)

d. Familiarity with TCAD tools such as Silvaco or Synopsys (optional, plus)

e. Familiar with time/frequency domain circuit simulation tools, such as ADS (optional, plus)

f. Direct experience in design flow and layout scripting, such as IPKISS or Matlab

g. Tape-out experience with at least one silicon photonics foundry and its PDK
